Highly achieving and outstanding athletes are invited at the University of Wolverhampton to enjoy the benefits of the WLV Sports Scholarships in the UK.
The endowment is available for the UK aspirants willing to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the university. The educational award will present a stipend having a worth of £4,500 over three years to the eligible scholars.
The bursary is designed to focus mainly on the sportsman of football, basketball, combat sports and netball and the athletes outside of these sports are still considered only if their sport is recognized within the BUCS competitive framework.
Eligibility
Applicants having the desire to be considered for the grant must have to fulfill the requirements of the given criteria:
- They must be assessed as the sportsman of the UK only.
- They must have a high school certificate for an undergraduate degree.
- They must have an undergraduate degree for a postgraduate degree.
- They are expected to:
- Represent WLV Sport in BUCS and student sports competitions.
- Attend mentor meetings, Sports Award Dinner, Sport Fairs and Open Days.
- Involve themselves in coaching, and/or volunteering activities as required.
- Maintain their academic grades.
- They must hold a firm offer to study at the university.
How to Apply
To apply for the award, apprentices must have to enroll themselves in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the university. Thereafter, they can register themselves through an online portal.
The closing date of the applications for the bursary is September 24, 2019.
