The University of Edinburgh Business School is offering the PhD Scholarship in Financial Technology for the international students who want to accomplish a PhD degree in 2020.
This project will develop a methodology to incorporate a new type of digital data financial transactions into credit risk and affordability models.
The studentship will provide a full tuition fee and a stipend of £20,000 awarded annually over a four-year period. See below for full eligibility details and information on how to apply.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following entry requirements for the PhD in Financial Technology.
- Normally requires a minimum qualification (or expected qualification if you are a current Master’s student) of above-average academic achievement, quantified as 70% or above overall at the master’s level. For this project, you will require a distinction-level dissertation (or UK equivalent) in statistics, informatics, or econometrics.
- Students with significant finance and tech industry experience, or with relevant professional qualifications and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the programmes stated above will be given due consideration on a case-by-case basis.
