The Kingston Postgraduate Scholarships Annual Fund programme is to promote academic excellence and allow talented graduates to continue to higher levels of learning and research.

There are approximately 20 postgraduate scholarships to outstanding students. Kingston University offers various taught masters’ courses in the Kingston School of Art, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing.

To be considered, you must have first-class honours in a previous degree, or high 2:1 with additional evidence of academic excellence.
You should have already received an offer of a place to study at Kingston on an eligible course.

Dean’s Global Research Scholarships in 2019/20

There are 10 scholarships available that provide financial support for both new and current international students. The candidates will apply for each year of study for up to 3 years. The grant will be awarded worth up to £6250 per year for the successful students.

Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Human Animal Interaction

We need an experienced lecturer to join our Human Animal Interaction team at the university. Hartpury provides a rich environment for anthrozoology, encompassing biological, pedagogic, companion animal, production animal, zoo animal, equine and veterinary teaching, research and knowledge exchange activities.

As well as a strong academic base in animal ethics and welfare, we have extensive contacts across a range of animal industries and within education and human healthcare, which support a vibrant and collaborative anthrozoology research group.

You will have the Higher Education teaching experience to deliver across our animal portfolio, combined with vocational or educational experience of Human Animal Interaction in practice. Prior experience of general animal science and UG and PG supervision would be welcomed.

With a collegiate approach to teamwork, you will demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching and supporting high-quality student experience. You will have the drive to progress the field of Human Animal Interaction externally and be a role model to our students, inspiring them to succeed in this sector.

You will have a relevant postgraduate qualification and be keen to develop a record of practice and scholarship in Human Animal Interaction.

Laidlaw Scholarships

There are 25 annual Laidlaw Scholarships that provide funding to enable you to develop leadership and research skills through a range of personal development activities and two six week periods of project work throughout your time at Leeds.

The Laidlaw Scholarship allows you to pursue research on a topic you’re interested in, develop your leadership skills and improve your knowledge, skills and experience to increase your employability.  

The Laidlaw Scholarship was created for self-motivated and proactive students who are interested in developing their skills, primarily in research and leadership, in order to fulfill their future career ambitions and leave a lasting legacy in their chosen field.

Students applying for the 2019 scholarship must be in the first year of their undergraduate programme. Scholars will be expected to undertake two funded periods of research, each lasting six weeks. The first will take place in Summer 2019 and the second in Summer 2020.
