Newcastle University is inviting talented students to enjoy the benefits of the Florence Hilda Yates Music Scholarship for the academic session 2019/20.
All successful candidates from the UK, EU and international countries will get a waiver of 100% tuition fee in the form of a grant for entry in September 2019. The educational award is open for scholars who are going to claim an application for a master’s degree in Music (MMus, MLitt or MPhil degrees) at the university.
The university is welcoming applications from all sections of the community regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or sexuality, and wish to encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented groups in UK higher education. Eligibility
Candidates have to meet the following criteria, to become eligible for the award:
- All UK, EU and International students are eligible to apply.
- They should hold or expect to achieve, a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree or international equivalent in music or a closely related discipline.
- The applicants whose first language is not English need IELTS 6.5 overall (with 6.5 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in all other sub-skills) or equivalent.
- They must hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the university.
How to Apply
Aspirants have to get enrolled in a master’s degree in Music at the university. After that, they can apply for the bursary through an online portal.
The closing date of the applications for the scholarship is July 26, 2019.
