The programme is open for UK/EU students who want to pursue a PhD degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and commence their course in October 2019. The purpose of this scholarship is to focus on the development of a rapid microwave-based system to extract DNA from clinical samples.

This golden study opportunity will provide the full tuition fees, a stipend of £14,628 and additional funding of £3,000 per year for consumables, training, travel and small equipment costs.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, candidates must be following all the given criteria:

  • You must have a home or work address in East Wales at the time of your application for KESS2 funding and your enrolment for the course of study.
  • You must have a legal right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the KESS2 support, and the right to take up paid work in the East Wales region on completion of the scholarship.
  • You should have a first degree, normally with class 2:1 or higher, or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • You must have a relevant Master’s qualification or equivalent.
