The Jean Rich Foundation of Canada is kindly offering the Colwyn and Jean Rich Scholarship for outstanding students at the Manchester Metropolitan University for the academic year 2019/20.
The grant is available for the UK scholars who are willing to pursue a postgraduate degree in Library and Information Management programme at the university. The award is granting a maximum amount up to 7,000 Canadian dollars for the successful candidates.
The Foundation wishes to award the scholarship to a UK national and has also indicated its preference for supporting those candidates who can demonstrate their previous and/or potential social contribution to the community.
Applicants have to meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the grant:
- They must have accepted a place on the postgraduate programme at the university.
- They must be assessed as UK citizens.
- They must have an undergraduate degree with good academic merit.
How to Apply
Aspirants have to take admissions in a postgraduate degree in Library and Information Management programme at the university. Thereafter, they have to provide a statement that explains ‘why you believe that you would be a worthy recipient of the award’, in addition to your financial need and demonstrating your interest in the library and information profession, you should also highlight any outstanding academic achievements and contributions to the community. The completed application will be emailed with the subject ‘JR-SCHOLARSHIP’ to email@example.com.
The applications deadline of the bursary is August 31, 2019.
