It’s hard to accomplish the career objectives for the care leavers and estranged students. In order to support such aspirants, Aston University is announcing the funding opportunity for the academic year 2019/20 in the UK.
The bursary provides an award amount of £1000 for the scholars. The grant is open for the UK alumni pursuing an undergraduate degree at the university. The scholarship aims to assist the candidates with moving on costs such as rental deposits, relocation costs and the cost of attending your graduation.
The university recognizes the students who are care leavers or are estranged from their families might face different or additional challenges when coming to university.
Eligibility
To become eligible for this grant, aspirants must have to meet the following criteria:
- You must be a current ‘home’ 2018/19 undergraduate finalist.
- You must have to qualify for full student support funding from the Student Loans Company as an ‘Independent student’ either as a care leaver or on the basis of estrangement.
How to Apply
Alumni have to be a part of an undergraduate degree at the university and then, they can apply for this award through an online portal with required relevant documents.
